Area of selection/Eligibility:


This position is open to individuals who meet all of the essential requirements, the Conditions of Employment stated below, and whose applications are received by the closing date. 


Essential Qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.


Education:


Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a discipline related to the job requirements (e.g. administration, communication) or an equivalent* combination of education, training and/or experience.


*Equivalent is defined as a combination of a minimum of three years’ post-Secondary experience and/or vocational training
 
Language:


Fluency in English (oral and written)
Proficiency in French (oral and written)
Proficiency in Swedish (oral and written)
 
Experience:


Minimum 2 years of recent* combined experience in:
-         front-line client service delivery


AND


-         providing administrative services OR
-         providing logistical support OR
-         record-keeping and information management.
* Recent is defined as within the last 5 years.


Rated Requirements
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.


·        Client service experience working with a diplomatic mission or international organization
·        Experience working with data management software




Operational Requirements:


·        Ability to work overtime outside normal working hours
·        Ability to work on Swedish holidays when the Embassy is open
·        Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00. Flexible working hours are not possible for this position.


Conditions of Employment:
·        Candidates must have a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period. If the employment is indeterminate, the work authorization should be permanent or itself lead to a permanent work authorization.
·        Obtain and maintain a reliability rating (security clearance) from the Government of Canada covering the entire employment period.
