6 months consultant assignment

Overall purpose of role:

Assist the Senior Finance Controller to perform and complete accounting and financial duties. Provide information useful for decision making to relevant parties, and to encourage cross functional involvement in identifying and solving challenges to the Company as well as finding opportunities to improve business processes.

Responsibilities:

Statutory Reporting – VAT, Intrastat, EU Sales, Nordic entity Statistical reporting, Norwegian Video Assoc.
Drive month end closing process reducing from 18 working days to 10 days
Ownership of Cash & AP partner process, manual payments – Taxes, employee expenses, AP bank accounts and transactions.
Manage Inter-company & intra Nordic transactions
Involved in preparing Annual Statutory Financial Statements & audit process
Manage Warner Brothers and Paramount Royalty calculations, payments and invoicing
Ownership of GRNI/Cinram stock purchasing and invoicing
Payroll processing and reporting
Key Skills Required:

3-5 years of experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office packages,
Experience of using Global accounting packages, ideally JDE/Enterprise 1.
Strong controls and audit experience
Good communication and hands on approach
Meticulous attention to detail / accuracy with numbers
Strong numerate and analytical skills
