We are looking for a Regional Buyer within Logistics Purchasing to a well known automotive company in Gothenburg. Start date is in February and the duration is 6 - 12 months. The job is on full time. Welcome with your application! We recruit on an ongoing basis.
About the position
You will be a part of Production Logistics that is part of a well know automotive company. They are an organization of approximately 650 colleagues, globally connected to deliver world class logistics solutions. The organisation ensure that transportation is purchased, packaging is made available at our suppliers, material is transported to our production facilities, and vehicles are distributed to our customers on time.
In the Regional Buyer role you will be responsible for the logistics purchasing operations related to the Transport Material process and be the purchasing interface with Production Logistics and suppliers in the region. You will ensure implementation of global sourcing strategies and projects, systems and processes, and drive operational efficiency at a regional level. You will be part of a team of professional purchasers located at multiple sites within the region.
Responsibilities
• Manage the commercial relationship with specified suppliers
• Manage assigned tenders within the region, including RFI´s & RFQ´s analysis, calculations, evaluations, supplier meetings and negotiations.
• Drive performance and continuous improvements, purchasing efficiency and contract management during contract validity.
• Secure that the purchasing guidelines are followed as well as promote and monitor the application of the required ethics and standards of integrity.
• Provide regional business intelligence, by continuously search, follow up and share knowledge about the evolution of costs & trends within the transportation and logistics sector with particular focus within the concerned region.
• Identify potential new suppliers and develop innovative and sustainable logistics solutions in the region
• In full coordination with the Commodity buyers, develop and implement Commodity sourcing strategies. Support and participate in commodity sourcing projects by providing local & regional requirements and market knowledge
• Secure a close cooperation with operations and users of the service to secure improved performance
• Perform supplier evaluations
Your profile
We need you who are eager to become the commercial supplier interface, to improve the total efficiency with an end-to -end perspective. You are challenging but fair in the supplier interface, having the capability of building the relationship that makes them want to excel in quality, service and cost efficiency. You have strong analytical skills and you are a skilled communicator, who manages stakeholders in a cross functional and multi-cultural environment with ease. You find energy in making a difference and have a positive and pragmatic attitude. You make people feel included.
These are the requirements for the role:
•Hold a university degree and/or MBA
•You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience within Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Purchasing
•You have proven successful achievements in commercial negotiations
•You possess business and market knowledge within the logistics and transportation industry in EMEA
•You are fluent in English, additional languages are considered an asset
•You are skilled in Office environment and preferably have worked with SAP
