Reporting to the Global Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Regional Controller Europe will have responsibility for the business control for a number of global functions and financial control of the region. The regional controller is supported by a controller team and acts as a close partner to the Finance Operations and Financial Processing team, requires a close relationship with the other Regional Controllers and needs to be a Business Partner to business leaders as and when required.

As Business Controller the main responsibilities are budget, forecast and monthly profit and loss controlling but also working close to the business on operations planning, ad-hoc analysis and special projects. With Europe being the larger region close to the corporate heads this role will also include a number of global tasks within management reporting. The position will also include the direct line management of 2 controllers.

The financial control encompasses oversight of accounts preparation, giving direction to the Finance Operations team and review of balance sheet reconciliations at regional level.

Business control team responsibilities include:
• Coordinating and reporting to group and business leaders on budgets, forecasts and monthly profit and loss for the Global functions
• Professional Services
• Managed Services
• Customer Support
• Product development
• FG&A and IT
• Financial planning and reporting with Budget and Forecast preparation
• Supporting Iptor business leaders for above functions
• Coordinate monthly operating reporting to the Executive team
• Manage balance sheet items relating to capitalized product development
• Assist in year-end allocation of costs between subsidiaries
• Supply the Consolidations and Reporting manager with monthly allocation of central costs and, if required, adjustment journals
• Other analysis and reporting, as required
• Some travel to Iptor’s regional locations may be required

Financial control team regional responsibilities include:
• Financial and management accounting including, amongst others: month-end close processes and reconciliations, revenue recognition, fixed asset accounting, provisioning and reporting
• Review of all reconciliations and monthly reports
• Statutory reporting and audit; provide assistance with the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial data, ensuring best practice is adhered to

Excluded are:
• Cash management and bank reconciliation review lead by Treasurer
• Tax compliance and efficiency Finance projects and new/advanced reporting
• Consolidation

Utbildning/erfarenhet

• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• General knowledge of business controlling preferably with experience of Professional Services
• Solid knowledge of accounting, reconciliations and reporting and general knowledge of IFRS
• General knowledge and experience of working in a large international organization, fluent in english as well as in swedish
• Proficiency in MS Office primarily Excel and Power Pivot
• General knowledge working with TM1 reporting and Cognos Controller is an advantage
