As the Regional HSE Manager, your main task will be creating a safe and secure workplace where environment , health, safety and quality comes first. You will be part of the management team and pursue environmental and quality issues, whilst also focusing on the HSE-work so that it becomes part of the daily operation.
You are responsible for audits and routines being compliant with legal regulations and as HSE-Manager, you will continuously work to develop processes, giving suggestions for improvements in production, analysis, action plans and the management system. Your role covers two production units in Sweden and one in Norway and Denmark and you will also use your expertise to assist the unit in Finland. Travel is required in this role but not to any significant extent.
Your major responsibilities in this role are:
Develop, implement and maintain the company’s HSE Management System according to country specific requirements and oversee and update policies as necessary
Responsible for: All operating permits, including environment (Seveso) and flammable materials, and monitoring of legal requirements (eg control program and regular inspections)
Contact authorities in audits in regards to all certification matters, including environment authorization
Perform incident investigations, risk assessments and define counteractions
Develop the HSE systems, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and GMP
You have a chemical engineering degree or an education in quality and environment combined with a chemical knowledge. International experience is an advantage. You are most likely to have a background in the manufacturing/process industry, ideally from the chemical industry or a related line of business. Furthermore, you are a confident leader and have proven experience in people management and an ability to provide support for the HSE-work. To succeed in the role, you will need to have strong communications skills, speaking and writing fluently in English and Swedish.
