Är du en ledare med god erfarenhet inom planering och kostnadsstyrning på kapitalprojekt i Sverige/Norden? Vi har en spännande roll som Regional Project Controls Associate Director med ansvar för att leda den Svenska delen av funktionen för planering, kostnadsstyrning, riskhantering, ändringshantering och rapportering på våra stora kapitalprojekt i Sverige. I dagsläget har vi ca 10 stora projekt i portföljen som genomförs parallellt i Sverige men med en skarpt ökande trend; det är för denna portfölj du leder och levererar genom ditt team.

Our ambition at GERE is to deliver capital projects flawlessly and consistently with a target to be in the top performers within the years to come; you will play a very important part in achieving these bold targets. As Regional Project Controls Associate Director, you will ensure implementation and consistency of all project control activities for a portfolio of projects in Sweden, focused on major capital projects above $10M, including sites in Södertalje and Gothenburg. You support the Directors' with in country project control leadership and global functional leadership.
Your Role
As a recognized expert in the areas of planning and project controls, you ensure that project teams adopt quality and compliance standards, policies and procedures. Support in bringing project controls to top tier status and an industry leading position for innovation, effectiveness and service provision is also part of the scoop. You will primarily operate as a direct line leader of matrix teams, but may also be called upon to provide individual contribution where needed.
You will implement, maintain and lead cross-project Project Control teams and manage an integrated project control approach, taking into account contracting strategies and team structures. Important is to handle partner engagement and business partnering within GERE and Site Operations.
Maintaining and ensuring accuracy and consistency of project reporting is part of the role, this includes: schedule, cost and change-management, cash flows, rundown/trends plus project risk assessments impacting schedule and cost. Further you will support Planners when performing planning & scheduling activities on GERE projects. You will have responsibility for supporting the consolidated roll up of capital and resource plans from the region. Key is to support the development and delivery of training to the wider engineering network with good Project Controls practices and identify and implement continuous improvement activities.
Essential for the role
We see that you will have experience in capital project planning and cost management and a passion for the Project Controls process. Experience with Engineering/Design and Construction as well as hands-on experience with cost and schedule risk analysis will also be needed to be successful in this role. Ideally you will have a degree in a business or engineering related field and/or education within Project Management, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying. You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate internal/external teams and stakeholders. In addition:
* Self-starter and innovative with a strong sense of urgency
* Experience in various software systems including suite of Microsoft Office applications and reference documentation
* Experience or awareness in major scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.)
* Able to perform work as required on project sites or at contractor office locations
* Demonstrate record of delivering services for relevant project size & complexity
* Strong spoken/written English and Swedish language skills
* Considering and accepting other views and concepts in reaching critical decisions are also strong merits for this role
Desirables for role
* Pharmaceutical experience & knowledge
* Experience with Integrated project controls platforms/systems
* Fundamental knowledge in cost estimation, cost management and planning/scheduling
* International project experience
* Understanding of the Swedish engineering/construction market and ways of working
* Team leadership experience, with strong initiative and leadership qualities and ability to handle service providers within for example construction management for delivery of Project control is preferred
* Experience leading and developing a team
