Driven and Result-oriented Regional Sales Manager to Mining

You will be part of Industry Solutions in Västerås. The business unit designs and delivers turnkey system solutions for rolling mills and paper mills mainly on the domestic market, as well as complete mine hoists for underground mining all over the world.

We belong to Process Automation and develop and sell complete mine hoists for transportation of ore, coal and supplies to underground mines. ABB is the only company on the market that can deliver complete systems, i.e. both the electrical and mechanical parts. Mining also offers the electrical package for trucks that are used for underground ramp transports, an environmentally friendly alternative to diesel trucks. In order to meet customer demands, we provide a complete solution for Mining Automation (Integrated Mine Automation Solutions, IMAS). Mining has the global responsibility (Center of Excellence) for underground mining applications within ABB.

The challenge: As Regional Sales Managers, you will be responsible for ABB?s sales and marketing activities in a specific region, which normally covers several countries. You will work in an international environment with many exciting travels to look forward to. As you will work within many different fields such as Power Electronics, Control Systems, Drive Systems, Mechanicals and Hydraulics, you need a genuine interest in technology. In short, your job is to identify new business, drive pursuits and close deals directly with the end customers or through local ABB organizations.

The requirements: You have relevant education in Engineering and/or Business. Proven technical knowledge in Power Electronics, Drive Systems, Control Systems or Mechanics is a must. Since the work includes many international travels, it is necessary that you have experience from working with system sales on a global arena. It is also required that you have an excellent command of English and are an outgoing person who easily adapts to different business cultures. Previous work experience in the mine hoisting business is advantageous. As a person, you are result-oriented and dynamic and have strong communication skills. You are a driven sales person who inspire to confidence and easily build long-term relationships with your customers.
