For our client Terex Scandinavia AB we are now looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the Nordics.
Terex Scandinavia AB is one of the largest providers of mobile cranes. They are headquartered in Helsingborg, Sweden with subsidiaries in Denmark, Norway and Finland. They are a part of Terex-Demag Limited as part of the U.S. Terex Corporation. Terex Corporation is a global manufacturer operating in four business areas: Aerial Work Platforms, Construction, Cranes and Materials Processing. Terex manufactures a broad range of equipment for use in various industries, including construction, infrastructure, quarrying, mining, shipping, transportation, refining, energy and utility sector.
As Regional Sales manager you will be part of the Sales Department of Terex-Demag Limited and you report directly to the Director Sales Nordics, of Terex-Demag Limited. The placement of this role is in Helsingborg, Sweden and will include extensive travels in the Nordics.
Since Terex strives to be market leader they therefore require that all the duties are carried out to the highest standard.
Main duties will comprise, but are not limited to:
- Selling the Company's defined range of cranes
- Manage and lead a sales team
- Focus on establishing new customer relations and also maintaining good customer relations
- Assessing and surveying the market, establishing market reports and introducing new products
- Generally liaising between customers and Terex, including relevant departments of Terex worldwide
- Providing enquiries, initiating when requested and following up quotations, and securing orders for new, used and traded in equipment.
- Reporting on a regular basis as deemed necessary by the Director Sales Nordic.
- Regularly visiting depots of larger crane operators as part of the standard sales activity.
- Support selling of used cranes especially if they are part of a trade-in deal.
- Contributing to customer sales events/exhibitions/fairs and marketing activities.
- Effectively chasing payment of cranes, spare parts and service invoices for your particular customers.
Profile:
- An understanding of broader business needs.
- Functional and technical sales expertise, preferably from heavy equipment, including network /retailing process design and customer retention strategies.
- Solid leadership skills and interested in developing them further.
- Operational expertise.
- Negotiating skills.
- Customer focus.
- International work experience.
- English is essential and a second language (eg. Swe, Nor, Den) would be an advantage.
- Able to travel 70 – 80 %.
Experience:
- Management experience in a Sales environment is merited, preferably from heavy construction/industrial equipment.
- A track record of success in Sales, covering dealer development service and/or revenue management.
- Previous experience from building and leading a sales team would be advantageous
