Regional Security Director - Europe

As part of our regional team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining effective and trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and providing innovative and business-orientated solutions to complex security challenges.
Stakeholders should recognise your role as the “can-do” subject matter expert, advisor, security auditor, responder, and trainer within their region.
Key Regional Responsibilities and Scope
The main areas of regional responsibility are - Security Risk Management, Crisis Management, Physical Security, People Security, Product Security, Travel Security, Information Security and Investigations. These include the oversight of regional security governance and assurance activities.
The main job tasks include, but are not limited to:
Contribute to developing and delivering the Global Security Strategy, Group Security programs, objectives, and priorities.
Support the development of security governance and manage the implementation and continuous refinement of security policies, standards, guidelines, instructions, requirements, and procedures.
Provide expertise on regional security issues to senior regional and site management.
Develop and maintain applicable security awareness programs and deliver associated training sessions internally.
Respond to requests and questions from across the business and line management for advice and assistance.
Conduct and support security risk assessments.
Conduct site security audits to identify best practices and gaps. Support findings by providing suitable solutions to mitigate the risks.
Develop crisis training material and train local crisis response teams with support from the Head Office.
Provide accurate information and effective response to business travellers who are experiencing an incident or crisis.
Conduct Security investigations of counterfeit, illegal diversion and product theft cases and background investigations.
Maintain collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to gather intelligence to identify and evaluate threats, vulnerabilities, and associated risks to the Volvo Group.
Collaborate with other Volvo units globally to efficiently develop and deliver services and products with the best applicable quality, delivery time and cost within an agreed budget.
Establish and maintain regional relationships with security practitioners in other commercial sectors, intelligence networks, law enforcement and related government/intelligence agencies.
As a Volvo Senior Leader:
Contribute to the overall development of strategic goals, performance metrics, communication practices and culture.
Create and maintain effective partnerships with our internal Cybersecurity, IT Security, Group Security, Group Compliance, Group Audit, Group Legal and People and Culture management teams to ensure alignment, where applicable.
Build effective partnerships with business unit management whilst ensuring accountability and professionalism.
Build and nurture external networks of industry peers, ecosystem partners, vendors, and other relevant parties to address common trends, findings, incidents, and risks.
Be a respected Group Security Ambassador who aligns with the Volvo Groups’ values and principles.
Educational Experience and Preferred Knowledge:
Fluent English
Fluency in a Scandinavian language will be an advantage
Relevant security related University degree / postgraduate education
A CPP / PSP certification is desirable
Several years of proven experience as a protective security practitioner – Protective Security means demonstrated expertise in physical -, people-, and travel security, crisis management and security risk management, including governance and assurance.
Several years at a senior level with strategic responsibilities – proven regional experience will be an advantage.
A law enforcement or intelligence background
Corporate security experience will be an advantage
