Regional Sourcing Manager

Do you have experience within strategic sourcing and procurement? As a Regional Sourcing Manager within packaging at Essity you are offered to work in an international environment and take place in a competent team of twelve people.
About the role
Global Operational Services is a newly established global unit created to deliver business value to Essity and our customers by driving group wide operational efficiencies through end-to-end services and solutions. Global Operational Services (GOPS) includes Sourcing, Supply Chain Development, Global Business Services, IT Strategy & Business Technology and IT Services.
The position is based in our office in Gothenburg preferably or optionally in one of major sites within Europe, e.g Ismaning.
What you will do
In this position you work with raw materials sourcing and lead cross-functional teams within R&D and Supplier Quality.
You work in a matrix organization and aim to develop the category and secure delivery according to the business needs.
Furthermore, you support the business by continuously reviewing design to cost options in the team.
You are the commercial lead for all matters in the category for example negotiations, pricing, contract management and supplier development plans.
You partner with the different business units to secure that all cost, innovation and sustainability targets are achieved where you always secure supply, compliance and best total cost in use in your area of responsibility.
Furthermore, you are responsible for risk management and consequential risk mitigation plans and actions.
In this position you will collaborate with manufacturing, logistic, marketing and sales where you also provide supplier market and other insights on a regular base.
An ability to travel is a must since you will travel about 30 % of your time.

Who you are
Degree in Business Administration, Economics or from a Technical education
Proven track record within sourcing and procurement, preferably in an international environment
5 years’ experience within strategic sourcing with a global or regional scope
Packaging or direct material experience is preferred
Good knowledge of sourcing procedures, techniques and e-sourcing tools
Experience in SAP & SAP Ariba and Microsoft Office
Operational procurement experience is meritorious
Experience from a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment is also meritorious

Furthermore, we believe the right candidate is a self-driven person who is used to taking responsibility for own work tasks. Also, you should be comfortable working in a remote team and having an agile approach in order to be able to maneuver in a matrix organization.
Possessing high level of communication and networking skills will make it easy for you to collaborate with people in all organizational levels. You have a good influencing ability and enjoy leading others in their work where you have a holistic perspective. In that note you also can turn strategy into result and have strong analytical skills where you drive continuous improvement.
