Regional Strategic Buyer

GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain is part of the General Motors Corporation and responsible for all Purchasing activities of General Motors worldwide.In the European Purchasing organization there are approximately 750 employees operating in 16 countries. The position includes preparing sourcing decision based on world class standards for Quality, Service, Technology and Pricing.Together with your colleagues you develop concepts and strategies to optimize quality, delivery and cost of purchased components.Your assignment includes establishing and maintaining supply contacts.You will actively participate in negotiations.It is also important that you follow and respond to changing market price trends and availability of materials and services. We are looking for an energetic and assertive person, who are self-motivated, able to work in a team environment, and capable of quickly taking on operational responsibility.You have high social competences, good communications skills and are a flexible person.Well-developed oral and written communication skill in English, and it's qualified if you can converse in German.
