The Global Trade Compliance team’s vision is to convert Trade Compliance into a competitive advantage and key asset for Epiroc. This team supports all divisions and functions in achieving their strategic and operational objectives and targets while guaranteeing continuous best practice compliance with all applicable and ever changing import/export laws and regulations. The team also continuously strive for Trade Compliance performance optimization, both from a resource and cost perspective, supporting Epiroc’s bottom line.

To achieve its vision and to ensure the trade compliance function to operate in the most resource, cost efficient and time effective manner, trade compliance supports global, regional and local layers in the organization.


Your mission
As Regional Trade Compliance Analyst, you will be a part of the Global Trade Compliance Team, and report to Master Data Governance and the Trade Compliance Global Manager. You will work in close collaboration with the Global Trade Compliance Specialist for the given region, as well as with all of the import/export professionals at Product Companies, Distribution Centers and Customer Centers, located in the region. The overall goal is to ensure trade compliance in the end-to-end daily operations. As Regional Trade Compliance Analyst, you act as the regional point of contact for trade related matters, ensures and facilitates two-way communication between Global Trade Compliance and all the local functions and authorities.

The role includes monitoring trade laws and regulations applicable and affecting EMENA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) as well as implementing global policies and procedures supported by the Global Trade Compliance Expert in the region. Together with the Global Trade Compliance Expert, you also ensure regional and local compliance with all applicable trade laws and regulations. You will monitor changes and new trade laws and regulations, evaluate and then translate into Epiroc context and advice and support each of the local importing/exporting companies in the region. In this role, you will also support in conducting regular audits and risk assessments regarding trade compliance, and secure implementation of corrective measures if needed. In collaboration with Trade Compliance in other regions, you will look for best practices regarding Trade Agreements, screening against applicable restricted or denied parties lists, Export license determination and applications and continuously identifying potential savings on customs duties.


Your profile
You are a dedicated professional, eager to follow up on international trade compliance issues and news updates on a daily basis. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) towards all levels of Epiroc staff as well as external stakeholders. You are a result and solution driven professional, constantly scanning for implementation of best practices and emerging trends in the trade compliance area. You are a performance driven, analytical thinker, that is able to make own decisions with focus on both the details as well as the big picture. At the same time, you are a strong team player with an international profile and proven global project and operational exposure.

We see that you have a Master’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent through experience. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience with international responsibilities in trade compliance, international trade, and customs laws and regulations.

You have experience in Customs management, Export Control and Sanctions Regulations, Dual Use classification/determination and the experience to run projects in an international environment. Knowledge of trade regulations in EMENA region and proven experience in trade classification (HS codes) is expected. You have adequate experience in conducting trade compliance audits and/or risk assessments, as well as formulating appropriate corrective actions. We see that you have experience in use of trade tools and trade applications.


Location and travel
The position is located in Örebro or Fagersta, Sweden.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally is required
