Regional Wood Supply and Forestry Manager

We are now looking for a Regional Wood Supply and Forestry Manager to join our management team who will report to Global Wood Supply and Forestry Manager. You will be line manager for the regional team of 4 specialists at different locations, such as: Moscow, Prague and Kaunas. We are looking for a manager to be located in Poland, Warsaw.
Some of the key tasks will include:
-To secure a long term accessibility of wood to lowest costs.
-To secure that all wood material in the region meet IKEA?s requirements.
-To analyze current supply chains, identify gaps and initiate actions to capture the opportunities in IKEA?s value chains.
-To initiate and drive value-chain projects.
-To represent IKEA in relevant forums.
Is this your next challenge?
We believe you may have a relevant university degree - it could be in forestry, wood engineering, economy or even finance. You will have several years of working experience in relevant industry. You have strong leadership experience. Although not essential, it is preferable that you knowledge of wood processing and/or the timber trade. Experience in engaging in dialogues with Environmental NGOs would be an advantage.

You take a holistic approach to issues and you dare to challenge. You like simplicity, you accept responsibility and you are cost-conscious.
