Connected vehicles are important keys in Scania's “driving the shift” strategy. Through vehicle-generated data and associated control capabilities we enable the transparency, efficiency, and sustainability of electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and the overall logistics ecosystem.
At the Connected Systems department (EC) at Scania R&D, we work with enabling solutions with a span of telematics, IoT solutions, and cloud infrastructure. We have both the end-to-end responsibility for the daily operations of Scania’s connectivity platform, communicating with all our vehicles across the globe, and the continued research and development of the platform’s new capabilities, used by services and solutions at Scania, as well as by customers and partners in the logistics ecosystem.
In the newly established group – Connected Compliance, you will be the key person to follow up and interpret regulations/standards and support the implementation and compliance.

YOU WILL
- Actively follow up on connectivity regulations and standards (incl. cyber security and software updates) in EU/ENECE, China, and possibly autonomous driving.
- Interpret regional standards and legislation with impact analysis on modules and platforms.
- Network and lobby the related regional authorities and technical organizations when necessary.
- Collaborate with technical specialists to set compliance guidelines and legal consultancy on system architectures.
- Support cross-functional collaboration on regulation implementation and compliance.
YOU ARE
As a person, you are Self-propelled and result-oriented with a "can do" attitude and entrepreneurial spirit. You value collaborations and have strong Communication and presentation skills. Have a strong sense of delivery and can work and deliver in stressful situations with short and/or flexible time spans and changes in input/requirements. In addition to that, able to work independently and in small teams where each individual’s contribution is critical.
IN ORDER TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, WE ALSO SEE THAT YOU HAVE:
- Ideally 5 years+ of experience in complex environments including Security, Software Update, Cloud, Telecom, and Privacy preferably from an automotive industry or regulation.
- Genuine interest in creating structure in complex environments and have a solid background in legislation or standards.
- Great interest to work in an international environment with a large network of colleagues. You are used to working independently as well as being a team player.
- Ability to make complex understandings into guidelines for a wider audience primarily consisting of engineers and managers.
- Strong communication in English in both writing and speaking. Chinese and/or other languages are meritorious and much appreciated.
- Business knowledge in IoT and related legislation is meritorious.
- Academic degrees in cyber security, software update (OTA), IT, Business, or law are meritorious.
