About the role
As an Regulatory Affairs & Electrical Compliance Safety Engineer within the marine sector, you will work at our client´s office in Lundby.
The Safety Compliance department is responsible for Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Change Management where we actively monitor the development of new product safety regulation´s in order to support Product Planning with correct information regarding future product requirements and project target values as well as ensuring product/project compliance with applicable legislation over time.
We are present at all stages of product development with targets and requirements to secure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. The introduction of electromobility, automation and connectivity into our marine and industrial applications brings new safety risks and new regulatory environments and this area will be a vital key for our further success over the coming next years.
Important parts of this role within the ELECTRICAL AREA is to;
- Influence and participate in development of product safety regulations and standards.
- Advice on future regulatory trends and development for long term product plans.
- Secure that our products conform to applicable product safety regulations and
standards worldwide in their respective applications.
- Handle type approval of marine and industrial products.
About you
Within the ELECTRICAL area you;
- have experience in working with safety regulations and compliance for diesel engines,
system and products, growing into New Technologies of electromobility, automation and
connectivity.
- you have deep knowledge of applicable regulations and standards within this electrical
field, e.g.;
• Electrical standards
• EMC Directive 2004/108/EC
• Machine Directive 2006/42/EC
• RED, Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU
• Recreational Craft Directive 2013/53/EU
• European Marine Equipment Directive (MED)
• International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) unified requirements
- have experience of working with Regulatory Authorities or Class Societies.
- appreciate to assess safety compliance for products based on hazard and risk analysis,
and conformance to standards.
- have experience from assessment of compliance documentation.
- have good networking skills
- have a structured and accurate way of working.
- are fluent in Swedish and English is a minimum. Other language skills are welcome.
- have good communication skills, both in terms of reports, presentations and in
discussions.
- are able to explain complex issues to the point in an understandable and often simplified
way as needed.
- appreciate a work place where trust, integrity & respect are not only important, but also
practiced at the same time as having fun at work.
- have a Master of Science degree or similar level of education
