About us
Regulatory Affairs is a part of Product Regulation & Compliance within R&D. Our job is to make sure that the development of cars and products take global regulations into account towards compliance. We are now looking for a new team member within the global area of driver assistance and automated driving (AD) to support the development of safe cars. We work in close collaboration with other departments in the company such as Strategy & Business Ownership and Public Affairs.
What you will do
The Regulatory Affairs team works in agile clusters and we are responsible for global regulations to support the development of our cars. You will work as a Regulatory Affairs Expert, both with your Volvo Cars network and with trade organizations, authorities, and other external stakeholders to derive a comprehensive understanding of technologies and regulatory developments of concern. The main objective of the job is a combination of identifying, monitoring, influencing, and informing about regulations around AD. A key aspect of the job is to cooperate with others, understand what we want to achieve and communicate with developing departments. The position implicates a broad contact network both within- and outside of the company and an opportunity for personal development in an international atmosphere. The position requires travelling.
You and your skills

To succeed, we believe that your background and skills include:
• Experience and in-depth knowledge in areas related to automated driving, active safety systems, and/or regulatory development
• MSc degree in Engineering, Law, or similar competence
• Experience from working with quality and/or lobbying in an international environment
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience from working with agile methods and in agile teams is considered meritorious
