Regulatory Expert Food Packaging

We are currently looking for a Regulatory Expert Food Packaging for our client.
Your responsibilities/activities:
Assess and approve food contact materials supplied globally by our customers to ensure compliance with current and future requirements of European, US and Chinese food contact materials legislation
Support development projects and Supply Chain activities by assessing the safety of new parts intended to come into contact with food and verifying their compliance with EU, US and Chinese food contact materials legislation.
Build-up and maintain relevant supporting documentation for assessments and approvals.
Stay current with regulatory developments for food contact materials in the EU, US and China.
Be a speaking partner for all questions related to chemical safety of food contact materials for our customers filling equipment – internally and externally.

Education and experience:
PhD in food chemistry, chemistry or similar scientific area of expertise.
Knowledge of food contact law preferred.
Know-how in regulatory toxicology.
Fluent in English (written and conversational).
Professional use of MS Office.

Duration: 1 year, March 1 2022 - April 30 2023
Remote work: 75 %
Travell: On a few occasions, the consultant needs to visit our site in Stuttgart, Germany
Equipment: The consultant is expected to bring their computer
