Rektor /Head Teacher

The Tanto International School is looking for a Head Teacher (initially on a one year contract) starting sometime between November 2010 and February 2011.The Tanto International School is an English speaking private primary school established in 1983.The school follows the English National Curriculum and the environment for the students is more structured than many schools in the Swedish system.The school is well established and provides a stimulating and fun working environment.We have enthusiastic and well-behaved students.Our teachers are highly professional and are able to deliver the curriculum in an interesting and disciplined environment.We are looking for an experienced leader with energy, enthusiasm, flexibilty and a proven track record to join the management team.A teaching degree is obligatory and experience of the Swedish and British systems is desirable.This position will be available earliest from November 2010 and will require some teaching commitments. The Head Teacher position means being in charge of the school, approximately 60 students age 6-13 and staff, as well as the English Nursery, 30 students age 3-6 and TASC - Tanto After School Care.We expect all our staff to be proficient in the use of ICT and experience using Apple Macintosh computers and software (there are no PCs in the school) would be useful.Please do not phone, we will confirm receipt of your application and invite successful applicants via e-mail only.
