Release Coordinator for our new central SW platform in future Volvo Car
We imagine that our friends, families, and children are transported in a personal, sustainable, and safe way. What we build is a self-driving, fully electric, connected, and super safe Volvo Car.

The heart of the platform will be a core computer with the capacity to carry a vast majority of electric control units and applications- a vehicle control unit. About the department - Core System Software
We have come to an important step in the development of our new software-centric platform. In our part of the R&D, we code the base software on the Core Computer to refine computational power and to enable successful integration with applications. Our teams work in an agile manner organized according to SAFe to be able to quickly adjust to changing requirements.
We work with an a-state-of-the-art embedded multiprocessor environment from Nvidia including hypervisors, Linux, QNX, Rust, Robot Framework, and other modern technologies.
Role specifics
As a Release coordinator within CSP your main focus is to consolidate the SW releases for the department. The releases consist of 7 nodes withing the platform. The work consists of coordination activities, structure release process. You will be responsible to plan and track the progress on releases to meet project expectations and milestones.
You will, together with your team secure qualitative releases with known content and, drive release and process improvements and make release available for stakeholders. You will be the main contact for stakeholders and secure correct usage of our releases. The team consists of SW coordinators, Configuration manager and a quality assurance engineer
You and your skills
We believe you have a keen interest in SW development and specifically for securing quality of a SW release. You have a clear ambition to create processes and targets that enables developers and work effectively while securing costumer needs.
As a person you have strong customer focus, enjoys the possibility to influence and you love to be part of a team where we take own initiatives and take pride in your own and the team’s deliveries. You should have prior SW release management experience and high communication and coordination competence. A background within SW development in meritorious.
