Do enjoy making things better? Taking a release process and making it even smoother?
Would you like to do that for an app that has millions (and millions) of users all over the world?
As the Release Manager for Toca Life World you will modernise one of the worlds most successful kids’ apps focusing specifically on the underlying release process and pipeline. You’ll make sure it can support a higher cadence release train with minimal friction for the development team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the one to facilitate the release process activities. However this is something the producers also has the knowledge to do, so it won’t solely be reliant on you. But you’ll be the overall responsible and drive the continuous improvements for the release process.
You’ll liaise with other departments/stakeholders on tech matters affecting release plans. You’ll support tech team in pipeline development, and collaborate closely with Crisitan, Toca Life Worlds dedicated DevOps Engineer.
You’ll be part of the product strategy, flagging for potential issues and helping to mitigate risks relating to release plans. This includes supporting the features with planning for and rolling out new functionality in the app. You’ll be the one to make sure platform tech and compliance requirements are reflected in development plans.
Is this you?
You have been part of the app release process many a times and is well versed in the Amazon, App- and Playstore universe and the submission processes. You probably come from an engineering and/or test background.
You enjoy driving change and making improvements to already existing processes. This position isn’t about maintaining what’s already in place, it’s all about making it better. Which means you have to be a good communicator as well as great at building relationships with stakeholders and partners, both internal and external.
