Release Manager to Saab AB

Welcome to the naval side of life! We are now looking to form a team focusing on the helicopter perspective of internal software releases. On our mission to provide striking software to projects and customers, we want to enhance our focus on building quality early and maintain reliability along the development process. We look to this team to get an answer both to the how and to the what. Further, we envision this team to drive implementation of processes and tools, as well as educating team and managers.

In doing this we believe we need a mix of personalities so that the team as a whole can focus on details, the bigger picture and the people all at once.

What we know

You will be part of developing our world-class Combat Management System. The position is located in our facilities in Järfälla where you will be working closely with cross-functional development teams and dedicated project teams. Development and delivery of these products take place at multiple sites in Sweden, Finland and Australia, with more than 500 colleagues.

The release team will enable smooth deliveries form our development teams by focusing on and spreading the word about the following aspects:

* Plans and processes
* Implementation strategy, knowledge sharing and team training
* Test and integration
* Requirement handling
* Quality
* Release and branching strategy
* Aligning all above between the sights in Sweden, Finland and Australia



Your profile

Required skills/experience:

* Experience from release management, quality management or test strategy management
* You like working both in teams and independently
* Good communication skills in speaking and writing, in English and Swedish
* Bachelor's degree within Science/Engineering/Technology

Good-to-have skills/experience:

* Master's degree within Science/Engineering/Technology



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
