As a Release Train Engineer you are responsible for delivering software and functionality that will work in production. However, the main part of your work is to secure that all persons contributing to the delivery has the right prerequisites to do a really good job. This is not a traditional project manager role with detailed steering, the focus is on servant leadership and secure that blockers and impediments for progress are removed. Another important responsibility is to continuously work with improvements by managing inspect and adapt workshops. You will also interact with senior management level, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters that has impact on the delivery capability of the agile release train.
You will also be responsible for the following:
•Responsible for overall execution and program increment feature completion tracking
-Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
-Assist with execution and feature/epic completion tracking including managing risks, dependencies, metrics, and status reporting
-Facilitate and lead ART (Agile Release Train) planning preparation and release planning, lead Scrum of Scrum.
•Encourage ART-wide communications and collaboration including but not limited to System Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, Systems Team and Scrum/Kanban teams
•Management of Agile adoption and coach teams through processes improvements
-Enhance Scrum, SAFe and Agile management practices
The position as Agile Release Train Engineer requires that you have strong servant leadership skills and is used to work in an agile environment. You are a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Scaled Agilest (SA). You are a skilled facilitator and collaborator to support effective team events. You have the ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams. You have a high level of drive and the ability to cope with fast moving customer focused agile development approach.
You have a mature approach to handle changing priorities and communicate complex topics in a pedagogic way. You have strong analytical skills and the ability to see the high level picture and still enjoy working with the details. You are used to work in a large IT landscape with complex integrations.
Your experience in e-Commerce and/or Sales Order Management built on IBM Sterling is a strong merit as is your experience of working in a multivendor environment.
As a person you are open to new ideas and constantly looking for improvements. You enjoy working together in the team to deliver business value to our customers and know the importance of building cross functional relationships with both internal stakeholders and vendors.
