In a quick shifting environment, it is natural to work in agile mode! In the agile setup there are a number of key players and one of the most important is the Release Train Engineer.

The team you will belong to; Team Product Change Management is a group within Chassis Development department Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg, and have responsibilities within product management, customer adaptation, geometrical assurance, pre studies, quality assurance and material handling within Volvo Group Trucks Technology.
The whole group consists of 20 people. ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Release Train Engineer is an important role within our Agile Release Train (ART) within Chassis Engineering Department. Our ART is on an exciting transformation journey and has grown a lot including some teams located in India.
As a RTE you will lead and facilitate our substream with events and processes, and also give support and assistance to the agile teams within the ART. Plan, lead and coordinate the Sub-streams events connected to the Product Increment (PI) cadence is a natural continuous work task.
You will also drive implementation of the aligned way of working, along with coaching leaders and teams in the processes and mindsets.
A RTE also communicates with stakeholders, escalate or remove impediments, support to manage possible risks and drive improvement.
You will be a part of our Agile Release Train Management team and will work closely with our Product Manager and Chief Engineer.
WHO ARE YOU?
The profile we are looking has several years of experience from project coordination roles, preferably from different operational models. You probably have experience as Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, Agile Coach or a more traditional project coordination role from before, with good understanding for what it takes to deliver a product update and deep knowledge in Lean – Agile way of working.
As this position is all about collaboration, we also value you to have social skills and that you enjoy and believe in teamwork. For us this means that you are a good listener, communicative and that it’s easy for you to connect with other people. We also believe it’s important that you are not afraid of the unknown and have a curious and ‘can do’ attitude.
As the rest of the team, you are target oriented, agile and accountable for the tasks you take on. You are a team player with general technical interest and be committed to finalize the tasks.
Key competencies for the position are good knowledge of our key tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
