About the Job

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for the quarterly Pi-Planning (Program Increment Planning). The RTE’s major responsibilities are to facilitate the quarterly PI-Planning events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value. RTEs communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.

You will work closely with stakeholders both in Technology North, but also Technology South and R&D. You will report to the Portfolio & Planning Manager in the Technology North Demand, Portfolio and PMO department.

Key Tasks:

* Plan and facilitate and coach our quarterly PI-planning (Program Increment-Planning).
* Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including Scrum of Scrums (the ART sync).
* Coach the organization:
+ from fixing problems to helping others fix them
+ from coordinating team activities and contributions to coaching the teams to collaborate
+ from deadlines to objectives
* Follow up increment progress of the PI-planning.
* Work closely with and provide guidance to Delivery Managers/Initiative Owners in the Lean Portfolio Management process

What you bring
 

You can communicate clearly around strategies, goals as well as the day-to-day status of operation and have excellent relationship building skills. You have experience coaching and guiding Scrum teams as well as improving processes and structures around PI planning You are organized and able to maintain a holistic overview.

Essential requirements
 
* Working experience in agile methodologies.
* Experience in coaching and guiding Scrum teams.
* Attentive to detail but able to see the big picture.
* Solution oriented approach with ability to drive.
* Ideally SAFE certified.
* Fluent in English.
