Background 

Alfa Laval is currently on a digital transformation journey. As part of this transformation we have created a global organization to digitally support our service business (100+ people) to update our digital product lifecycle management, configuration and supply chain capabilities to better fulfil our customer needs. We are setting ourselves up to work agile, based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) framework. During 2022 we are gradually onboarding new teams and for this reason we are now looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE). 

About the job  

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) you will manage the agile release train across around 10 teams. The RTE is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). The major responsibility is to facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value. More specifically your key tasks will be: 
* Putting in place and manage the key components of an agile release train, according to SAFe methodology. 
* Secure the PI planning events. 
* As part of the management team, drive the shift towards Agile mindset and way of working. 
* Act as an Agile Coach on program / value stream level. 
* Be in close collaboration with RTE’s from other areas establish best practices 
* As well as with the Alfa Laval Agile coaches secure training and sharing best practices for the teams.

To succeed in this role you are structured and driven, with the ability to see the big picture. You are collaborative and adaptable, able to interact with all kinds of people. You are a leader with strong coaching skills. You need to be comfortable in not being the subject matter expert, more focusing on driving the process with a lean agile mindset. You are comfortable with working in a global cross-functional setting. 

What you know 

Relevant academic background and prior experience. You have several years of experience from working in agile roles and you have specific experience from SAFe and the Release Train Engineer (RTE) role. You bring knowledge and experience which you can successfully apply in our context.
