Who are we
In the Hardware & Mechatronics department within the Unit Connected Experience, we transform ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of connected vehicles – both present and future. Now we are looking for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking – specifically a passionate Release Train Engineer for the ART HW & Mechatronics.
In the ecosystem of the connected experience that we provide to our customers, our teams are responsible for the Hardware and Mechatronics enabling Infotainment, Connectivity, Antennas and Audio functionality to the vehicles.
We use modern tools and agile methods to create business value continuously. We ensure high quality and adaptability in our development and delivery. Of course, we have a lot of fun together while doing it.
What you will do
Your purpose as a RTE is to increase speed and flow within the ART together with Scrum Masters and the ART management team.
You will be a member of the ART management / department management team for ART HW & Mechatronics and work both internally for the ART but also in close cooperation with the neighboring ARTs within Connected Experiences.
You will drive to remove and escalate impediments, manage risks and help the ARTs to ensure delivered value. You will take lead for improvements and contribute to drive changes.
As an RTE you will be organizing and facilitate the PI planning events. You will also aggregate team PI objectives into Program PI objectives and publish these for visibility and transparency. You would assist with execution and feature/capability completion tracking as well as provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks. You will work with product and solution management, product owners and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment as well as report status and collaborate with the Solution Train Engineer (STE) and support related activities
Who are you?

You have a positive attitude, are self-managed and proactive. You are flexible and eager to learn, with a growth and agile mindset. Further, you are well organized and thorough with documentation.
Ideally, you have a BSc/MSc degree in Software, Electronics or equivalent with several years of experience from working with software- and hardware releases, supplier management and continuous integration.
You are fluent in English language both spoken and in writing. You have a business and end customer value understanding along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Agile leadership.
You have an Inclusive, communicative, team oriented, customer focused mindset. You are curious and continuously searching for new knowledge. You are result driven and always looking to develop yourself and new ways of working. You are self-motivated and pro-active. You have a hands-on approach to problems where you learn by doing.
What is also beneficial for you in this role, is if you also bring experience of development working in the automobile industry especially knowledge of Volvo Cars development process in general as well as the electrical development process.
