Release Train Engineer to our Value Creation Team - Thermal Management

About us

The Electrification Development sector is working inspired by SAFe and our Thermal Management Agile Release Trai Agile Release Train, at Scania called Value Creation Team (VCT), is now looking to reinforce the team with a Release Train Engineer (RTE).

A well designed and controlled thermal management system is an essential part of the electrified truck as many of its components are dependent on the correct thermal conditions to deliver customer value.

A new Thermal Management VCT is now formed to take on the challenge of continuing the development in an agile way.

The VCT embraces the cooling systems traditional heat exchangers, electrified components, coolant and oil routings as well as the software to enable component communication and optimised control to maximize energy efficiency and comfort. The VCT will naturally also include representation from production and purchasing.

Your role

One of the most important roles in running and developing the VCT is the Release Train Engineer (RTE) who acts within a team of system architects and a product manager.

The role as RTE is a servant leader and coach for the VCT and the major contributor to help in setting and improving the agile way of working.

Facilitate events, continuously improve processes, coaching and assisting the teams in delivering value, communicating with stakeholders, escalating  obstructions and managing risk are all important tasks.

As a person you are enthusiastic and have a can-do mentality combined with a structured way of working. You are flexible and adapt actions and behaviour depending on changes in pre-requisites and environment.

Structuring information flows, improve ways of working, facilitate meetings as well as coaching teams is easy for you.

You enjoy motivating the teams and communicating with engineers on a daily basis. You are strong in cross functional work, good at developing, maintaining and use a broad network on all levels within the company.

Agile development, continuous deployment and integration is well known to you. Knowledge of SAFe is a merit.

We think you have a higher education and at least 5 years’ experience of product development Knowledge in the combination of software and hardware development is a strong merit.

Leadership experience will also give you a good position as will experience from purchasing and production.

Fluency in English is mandatory. Swedish is meritorious and we highly appreciate your ambition to improve.
