Connected Experience is a unit within R&D which includes Connectivity Platform, Infotainment, Car Cloud and Remote Functions, Vehicle Data & Diagnostics as well as HW and Mechatronics.
At ART Vehicle Data & Diagnostics, we put high quality vehicle data at the fingertips of engineers and enable uptime through diagnostics. We do in-house development of SW for diagnostics monitoring, fault isolation and data collection for the complete vehicle, and we also support other parts of the organization with data access & analytics tools. We are one of the key enablers for a true data-driven organization!
We are now looking for an engaged, curious and experienced Agile Leader for the position of Release Train Engineer for ART Vehicle Data & Diagnostics.
What you will do
Your purpose as a Release Train Engineer is to manage flow towards commitment and increase speed within the ART together with Scrum Masters, RTE colleague and the ART management team. You will support the progress of our empowered product teams that strive for continuous learning and improvement.
You will be a member of the ART management / department management team for ART Vehicle Data & Diagnostics and work both internally for the ART but also in close cooperation with the neighbouring ARTs within Connected Experience. This means you will have competent colleagues in the same role with whom you can, on daily basis, share and discuss experiences and problems.
The main responsibilities in this role, is to manage and optimize the flow of value. You will drive to remove and escalate impediments, manage risks and help the ART to ensure delivered value. You are to establish and communicate the annual rolling calendar for iterations and program increments (PI). You will organize, drive and facilitate the PI planning event. You will aggregate team PI objectives into Program PI objectives and publish these for visibility and transparency. You will also assist with execution and feature/capability completion tracking as well as provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
You will work with our stakeholders in R&D to get our quality assured software releases timely into the main integration & release flow for the complete car.
You will work with product and solution management, product owners and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment. You will report status and collaborate with the Solution Train Engineer (STE) and support related activities.
Who are you?

You are flexible and eager to learn, with a growth and agile mindset. Further, you are well organized and thorough with documentation.
You would bring 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably as a Product Owner or Scrum Master for software teams or similar. You bring software development experience, preferably in an agile environment. You would carry a BSc degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
You are committed to participate actively in the management team for the ART. You are fluent in English language both spoken and in writing. You would bring business and end customer value understanding as well as have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Agile leadership.
What would be beneficial for you in this role is that you have documented experience of development working in the automobile industry as well as knowledge of Volvo Cars development process in general as well as the electrical development process.
