About
At Roboten, we are developing low-code tools making it possible for anyone to create internal applications or fully-fledged services scaling to millions of users, remarkably fast. We are currently 20 developers and have been working on our products for the last 12 months. As we are approaching a new growth phase fueled by venture capital, we are looking for a skilled Technical Writer who wants to be part of our journey.
We set out to build something that fundamentally would change app development. Together, we are solving some of the biggest challenges of today’s business applications development by empowering enterprises, software vendors, agencies, designers, and developers to come up with smarter and more flexible solutions to rapidly speed up time-to-market and improve the life-cycle of the application. When people come together around an idea and are empowered by the right tools, great things will happen.
We are a remote company, with colleagues in different parts of Sweden and throughout Europe. Your skills and experience are what we value, not where you are located. In addition, we’ll hook you up with the right gear so that you have a proper home office.
As a Technical Writer at Roboten, you will:
- Be the owner of our technical documentation particulairly our product websites, software documentation, changelogs, blog, and our public technical communication - utilizing your precision in writing and your ability to explain things that might be technical in nature in a way that makes it easy to understand
- Be our software spokesperson, continuously interacting with our users
- Proactively investigate users’ needs and contribute with solutions to improve our user material
- Continue to be accurate and prioritize quality and accuracy over speed in your production
- Push boundaries of what is possible with technical documentation and technical communication
- Be part of a fantastic, well-funded startup journey - early on!
During your interview, you will have the opportunity to define the position according to your skill set, interests and what motivates you. When these three factors are met, magic can truly take place.
We hire the best
We’re aiming high, and that’s where you come in. Our team consists of world-class engineering, design, and product technologists. Because we know that the key to success isn’t just about nailing the technology - it’s hiring talented people, like you, that will help us make a significant impact. That’s why we offer you a higher salary, between 50 - 100 % higher than your current one (unless you recently became an NFT-multimillionaire).
To be successful in the role as Technical Writer, we think you:
- Have previous experience as an excellent software engineer but would like to make a larger impact by becoming a spokesperson and acting as a bridge between our customers and product team
- Experience of creating technical content for advanced software
- Have impeccable English writing skills, including correct grammar, syntax, punctuation, and spelling
- Have a unique ability to control the tone of voice and structure and thereby have an extraordinary understanding of how the reader experiences your texts
- Know that the structure of the text is as important as the UX of software.
How to apply
Submit your resume together with a cover letter and two reference texts that you have produced. If you meet our requirements, you will hear from us within one business day regarding the next steps. Our recruitment process is short and straightforward and highly appreciated among the ones that have been there before you.
If you have any questions or thoughts, we’d love to hear from you! Drop us a line at recruitment@roboten.com.
