Requirement Configuration Specialist

Requirement Configuration Specialist

Arbetsbeskrivning

At IKEA we aim continuously for better products, at lower costs, with a faster time to market. We want to create a better everyday life for the many people! Range & Product Engineering supports this by developing tools, ways of working and competence for IKEA, so our product developers are able to create even more creative and sustainable engineering solutions, with high focus on quality and customers´ expectations.
What is the job about?
This is a new role and will be an important part of our product development. Right now we are looking for candidates to fill up five positions. As a Requirement Configuration Specialist, you will play a vital role in securing that IKEA is consistent in the usage and wording of requirements and any associated information related to how they are used throughout the value chain. You will be critical in ensuring that the intentions and underlying purpose of the requirement is safeguarded and used in the appropriate way. You are going to work closely with many different requirement owners, coming from the whole of our organisation. One of the main contributions from you, is to understand the essence of the content and what the expectations are from a receiver’s point of view and, as a result of this, be the gateway into the system environment and how to document it all.
Furthermore, you are going to be responsible for:
Configuring requirement and verification objects with all available attribute data
Delivery of requirement and verification objects in professional and standard British English
Providing introductory material for new requirement owners on how to document and classify requirements, using relevant examples
Responsible for guiding requirement owners with optimised, consistent, and standardised ways of communicating complex technical content

You are thorough with the wording and structure, based on a solid understanding of how the requirements will be used and to analyse what will make a difference for the end user/receiver. You will be an integral part of IKEAs global network of colleagues working with products and their requirements. This is a vital part in the development and lifecycle process of our products and one of the most significant movements we will undertake in the area. You will have the opportunity to challenge others on how to improve as well as learn a great deal on what it’s like to work in this part of IKEA.
The one we are looking for, has:
Proven experience in handling, developing, or communicating technical information
A supportive and service minded personality
A personal high demand for quality. Precise and detailed when working across many or all activities

Who are you?
One of your strengths is being receiver-oriented when it comes to explaining technical information concisely. Your communication skills are the kind that help you build good and trustful relations, and of course – your skills in English are excellent, both written and verbal.
