Range & Product Engineering supports this by developing tools, ways of working and competence for IKEA, so our product developers are able to create even more creative and sustainable engineering solutions, with high focus on quality and customers´ expectations.
This is a new role and will be an important part of our product development. Right now we are looking for candidates to fill up five positions. As a Requirement Configuration Specialist, you will play a vital role in securing that IKEA is consistent in the usage and wording of requirements and any associated information related to how they are used throughout the value chain. You will be critical in ensuring that the intentions and underlying purpose of the requirement is safeguarded and used in the appropriate way. You are going to work closely with many different requirement owners, coming from the whole of our organisation. One of the main contributions from you, is to understand the essence of the content and what the expectations are from a receiver’s point of view and, as a result of this, be the gateway into the system environment and how to document it all.
Furthermore, you are going to be responsible for:
Configuring requirement and verification objects with all available attribute data
Delivery of requirement and verification objects in professional and standard British English
Providing introductory material for new requirement owners on how to document and classify requirements, using relevant examples
Responsible for guiding requirement owners with optimised, consistent, and standardised ways of communicating complex technical content
