As we are looking for several Requirement Engineers both junior and senior persons. Preferably you have some years of relevant technical working experience and you have solid knowledge of product development, and how to apply technical requirements in the product development. You have experience from verification testing and material technology. Together with your team you create the best technical solutions for the customer and you are driven by innovation, problem solving and the will to influence and make a difference.

IKEA Components task within IKEA is to pursue the development of future unique and customer friendly solutions within fittings and components to the IKEA range. We create substantial cost and quality benefits for IKEA in our development and trade of raw materials, components and fittings. As Requirement Engineer, your task is to secure the complete product documentation for the whole Product life cycle. You will also be responsible for identifying the technical requirements and to keep the product documentation updated. You are responsible for securing component performance and compliance according to identified requirements.
About the assignment
As Requirement Engineer within Engineering Quality & Requirement, you shall be reporting to Deputy Engineering Quality & Requirement Development Manager.
Some of your tasks include:
-To secure the complete component requirement documentation (supplier index) during the component life cycle
-Creating and choosing verification test methods and strategies for the development phase
-Final verification of the complete component during the development phase
-Contribute to the creation of additional development tests needed to secure design during development phase
-Communicate technical requirements to necessary partners during the component development phase and the component life cycle (e.g IKEA of Sweden, Home Furnishing supplier, component supplier)
-To identify any compliance gap in documented component requirements and give input to action plan work
-Capture and communicate learnings about technical requirements to relevant stakeholders (e.g IKEA of Sweden, Home Furnishing Business´s, EQR matrix).
