Research and Development Chemist/Engineer

We are strengthening our R&D team with a Development Engineer Chemistry/Chemist and are looking for a PhD or MSc with experience in assay development, biochemistry, surface chemistry, material chemistry or similar. The complete HemoCue products are a combination of microcuvettes with reagents and a measuring device. Your responsibility will be to lead the design, development and improvement of reagents and microcuvettes. You will work or lead a development team in projects with high focus on deadlines, good team spirit and individual drive.

Your responsibilities and tasks will include
Design, develop and improve new reagents and microcuvettes to our HemoCue products including both laboratory work and documentation
Evaluation and validation of reagents and microcuvettes and identification of critical design parameters to secure a robust solution.
Lead design optimization for function and manufacturability as technical lead
Design and explore equipment/methods for development of new or existing microcuvettes and reagents

Qualifications
You are most likely an Engineer or Scientist with a PhD or MSc degree with relevant field for example in: assay development, biochemistry, material chemistry, surface chemistry or similar. Experience from the following areas is required:
5-10 year’s experience from product development in relevant area
Previous experience from research projects
Previous experience from project management
Knowledge in statistic
Knowledge in ISO 13485 and QSR
Good communication skills and fluent in English (verbal and writing), fluent in Swedish is a merit
Experience of working within Medical Device Industry, Pharmaceutical or similar is a merit
