The Department of Soil and Environment is looking for a Research assistant. The department conducts research, environmental analysis and education in soil science and sustainable land use. The majority of the department's activities and employees are located in the Soil-Water-Environment building on the SLU Ultuna campus in Uppsala, and there is a research group with a field research station situated in Skara.
Duties:
We are looking for a person to make laboratory analysis of soil fauna in forest soils, using DNA-based methods, and to assess spatial variation in enzymes involved in oxidation of soil organic matter.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree in geoscience is required, and the candidate should have initiated a masters’ education.
