We are looking for a research assistant based at the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Halmstad University.

The School is currently expanding its portfolio of externally financed research projects and educational offerings, and the creation of a research assistant position is a part of that. We are looking for a person who can contribute to the research and educational areas of the school: teacher’s training, humanities and social science.

School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences (LHS)

The university consists of four interdisciplinary academies and the current position is located at the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences. The School has approximately 90 employees within the Department of Education and the Department of Humanities and Social Science. The School offers education at undergraduate level, supplementary pedagogical education and executive courses for practitioners. Postgraduate doctoral students conduct research at the school through collaborative doctoral programs developed jointly with other universities and other Schools within Halmstad University. Research focuses especially on teaching and learning, digitalization and social change. The School is home to the Digital Laboratory Centre, a creative, digital environment for education.

Work assignment

The employment is part of the Schools securing and expanding its portfolio of externally financed projects.

Your main duties and responsibilities:

- Assist with the preparation and execution of executive training programs, e.g. tasks related to recruitment, admission and program delivery.
- Assist with the preparation of funding applications.
- Assist researchers with tasks related to the execution of externally funded research projects, e.g., desktop research, fieldwork preparation, basic content analysis coding, bibliometric and bibliographic work and basic writing tasks.
- Assist with tasks related to reporting.

You can also be asked to carry out other tasks related to research and education.



Qualifications

Required:

- Undergraduate degree in a social science or humanities field with relevance for the research at the School.
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
- Experience in administration and management.

Preferred:

- Previous research assistant experience
- Experience in compiling systematic literature reviews
- Experience in qualitative research
- Ambition to acquire knowledge in spoken and written Swedish
- Experience of outreach and stakeholder work

Capacity to work both in teams and independently will also be considered.

Salary
Salary is to be settled by negotiation. The application should include a statement of the salary level required by the candidate.
