Department of Forest Ecology and Management  
We are seeking a research assistant to help us with field work during Mid July – early August. The job involves field work at forest sites in Lapland.  

About the position
We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate for summer field and lab work to help with projects related to forests and biodiversity, and carbon cycling. The work period will be 2-3 weeks from mid-July to Early August.  The work will also involve demanding physical work with carrying heavy backbacks up to 1 km

Your profile  
The applicant should have a strong work ethic and be able to work well in a team setting. Field work could involve some remote locations, and the possibility of challenging weather conditions. As the work is physically demanding, good fitness and strength are required. The job requires communication in English (both spoken and written) is required.
