We are looking for a teammate with the following job description:
Position:
Research Assistant (Full-time)
Location:
EMPE Diagnostics AB, Karolinska Institute Science Park, Solna, Stockholm
Eligibility criteria:
· MSc in molecular biology / biochemistry / microbiology / biotechnology / bio-engineering or related area.
· Two years of experience in the laboratory dealing with molecular technologies, including PCR, qPCR, DNA hybridization, gel electrophoresis, etc.
· Advantageous, if experienced in padlock probes and rolling circle amplification research and/or lateral flow diagnostics.
· Fluency in spoken and written English. Proficiency in Swedish is desirable.
· Preference will be given to the independent and self-organized candidates with problem solving approach.
Responsibilities:
· Designing and executing laboratory testing according to standard procedures.
· Conducting or supporting scientific experiments and clinical investigations.
· Recording the data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy.
· Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies and interact with external partners/associates.
· Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
· Deliver an efficient periodic reporting to the project leader as well as coworkers
· Due to GMP standards at EMPE Diagnostics, the candidate should adhere to work reproducibility and data tracking.
Terms:
This job is for 6 months but invites a potential opportunity for long-term/permanent employment.
