Around 20 000 students are currently studying courses and programmes with us in the various domains. Mälardalen University is located in Sweden, on both sides of Lake Mälaren, with campuses in Eskilstuna and Västerås. Mälardalen is a region dominated by strong growth with several multinational companies based here such as ABB, Volvo, Westinghouse, Alstom and Northvolt. We enjoy close cooperation with the region’s private sector, municipalities, and county councils.
At the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering our students are studying to be for example innovators, entrepreneurs, illustrators, communications officers, network technicians and engineers. Here we have the research specialisations of Embedded Systems, and Innovation and Product Realisation. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organisations and public authorities in the region.

Position description
This position is defined in the scope of the project PDF (Personalized, Dynamic and Flexible Educational Model for Industrial Professionals and in the area of life-long Machine learning model.
The position includes the following tasks:
• Implementation, coordination, and related practical development within the project PDF
• Design the educational model and validation plan in project PDF
• Development of life-long learning model for machine learning
• Development of Random Forest, Recurrent Neural Networks using Python programming
• Data analysis using Python programming
Qualification requirements
The applicant is required to have a bachelor or master's level degree in computer science. Knowledge and experience in programming languages and modeling and analysis tools such as Python. The position requires sound verbal and written communication skills in English.
