In this context, the Department of Economics constitutes an important platform for research and education in business and economics. The Research Group for Decision Making and Managerial Behavior currently consists of six people with a common interest in developing knowledge that integrates economics and behavioral science, using experimental and statistical methods. Our research strives to be relevant and innovative for society as well as business within the green industries.

The Department of Economics at the Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU) announces one to two vacancies as research assistant in the Research Group for Decision-making and Managerial Behavior.

Duties:
The successful candidate will support the overall research taking place of the group and a project on recycling in particular. Key tasks are to help preparation of data and analysis of data with an emphasis on experimental and discrete choice data. Additional tasks include literature search, communication and outreach.

Qualifications:
Ongoing Master studies in economics or business studies. Documented course credits in economics/business studies or quantitative methods. The applicant should have documented experience of applied statistics or econometrics and experience with working in Stata or R.  Good background knowledge of experimental economics (e.g., as demonstrated through participation in NA0185 with a good grade) is an additional merit. Experience with behavioral experiments is particularly valued.

For the position, you need to be thorough and structured in your way of working. Good skills in Excel and Word are also necessary. You also need to have a strong drive and be able to work independently. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
