Research Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose
Due to an internal job-rotation we are looking for a Research Engineer for a temporary assignment for a year.

Essential Responsibilities
Your main contributions will be in the lab, hands-on, most often in different project team settings but sometimes also with own assignments. Our section works in the interface between our chromatography media and systems departments and also with much interaction with the Customized Bioprocess Solutions department, product marketing, FastTrak and customers. Your essential responsibilities are
Team member in key projects where column
packing development/verification is requred
Plan and secure execution of own experiments
and secure reporting of results both in writing and when required orally
Design and functional verification of
columns and systems used in process development, pilot and manufacturing scale
Development of packing methods
for existing and new chromatography media and resins

Qualifications/Requirements
M.S. in chemical engineering, or similar field
English and Swedish as working languages
Good computer skills
Flexible and with excellent communication skills
Great interest in learning new things
Drive and sense of urgency in own work

Ability to work independently, alone as well as with others
Experience and skills in working in the lab
Experience and good knowledge of ÄKTA systems and UNICORN
