Recent growth in the research activities and the well-established educational programs of the School of Information Technology (ITE) is enabling a significant expansion.
In 2018 the total research expenditures where over 70 MSEK and the school had over 850 students. Over the next two years, the School will grow significantly.
Description
This position is to be open for the stated research engineer for the SafeSmart KK Synergy project. The research engineer will work on the topics related to wireless communications stated in the Synergy project proposal.
General Duties
The KKS SafeSmart Synergy project – Safety of Connected Intelligent Vehicles in Smart Cities – aims at developing technical advances enabling automated driving in platooning and urban scenarios. The advertised position involves building of 5G testbed for connected vehicles in collaboration with our industrial partners. Along with Synergy project partners, the work will also involve interaction with Qamcom Research and Technology in the framework of SSF Strategic Mobility project.
General Qualifications
- Master degree in telecommunication engineering
- Embedded Linux experience
- Working experience from (excellent skills in) software design
- Front and back ends development skills
The person applying for this position also needs to:
- be able to work closely with researchers and other stakeholders to develop solutions that fulfill their needs
- be creative to propose new approaches, formulate specifications, prototype and test them quickly, and discard the ones that do not work
- have very good organisational, time and project management skills and accuracy and attention to detail
- have mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills and enjoy and master teamwork
Salary
