The Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences is one of the university’s largest departments, with operations mainly in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Our aim is to engage in medical and biomedical education and research of high international standing. At undergraduate level the department is responsible for most of the medical program, the speech and language pathology program and the biomedical program. We are looking for a Research Engineer formally based at the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences.
Your future work assignments
You will be working on a research project studiyng the mechanism of gradient-dependent retrieval of GPCRs in human platelets. Your future work includes various experimental tasks in molecular biology and biochemistry.
Your future workplace
You will work at the Division of Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology, in Tomas Lindahl's research group. The research group is involved in research on basic and clinical studies of platelets and their functions, and consists of researchers, doctors, doctoral students and technical staff.
Your qualifications
We are now looking for someone who has a master's degree in life sciences or similar. We see that you have previous experience of research and data management as well as good computer skills and knowledge of MS-office. Documented experience of Wester Blotting is a requirement for the position.
It is an advantage if you have experience of working with platelets or human cells. Knowledge of cell and molecular biology techniques is seen as a merit, as is experience of writing scientific reports and compiling different types of graphs and statistics.
The employment requires good knowledge of English in both speech and writing, knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is seen as meritious.
As a person, you are independent, flexible and structured. You are motivated and characterized by a good ability to cooperate and communicate. In your work, you are meticulous and determined to achieve results with good quality.
Form of employment
Full time, time-limited employment four months.
Starting date
1 Februrary 2022.
