Research Engineer

Main responsibilities
As a Research Engineer you will contribute to the development and optimization of new and existing processes and products in the production of Expancel microspheres.
You will contribute during scale-up and implementation of new products and processes in the production and contribute to a continuous improvement of the scale-up process by developing new methods and techniques/equipment for evaluation of processability in lab/pilot scale.
Responsibility to lead and participate in assigned R&D product and process development projects and assignments and to report progress and results according to the methodology of the R&D-department.
Ensure progress in assigned projects and activities through leading and coordinating team members.
Responsibility to initiate and support product and process development in implementation stages, like production scale-up.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the scale-up process.


Qualifications
To be successful in this position you are a collaborative cross-functional team player as well as focused on creating results.
You have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and it is also important that you meet external and internal customers and their needs in a professional manner.
You have the ability to identify opportunities and be proactive in putting forward ideas and solutions.
You also have the ability to plan activities and carry them through effectively, i.e. prioritizing tasks and work to deadlines.
As a person you are curious, flexible, methodical, responsible, result oriented and quality-driven.
You will have to achieve good awareness and follow safety, health and environmental regulations.
Master of Science in Chemistry/Chemical engineering or corresponding education.
Experience from product & process development and production scale up is beneficial.
Experience in project work and project management is also beneficial.
Experience from handling of multivariate data and/or simulation techniques can be meriting.
Good ability of technical and chemical problem solving.
Good communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
