We are looking for a Research Engineer to join the Affinity Ligand Characterization section at R&D in Uppsala, Sweden. This is a new section that is going to be responsible for analysis of protein-based affinity ligands, development and optimization of analytical methods and characterization of affinity chromatography resins. The primary focus of this position is to plan and perform protein analysis and characterization of chromatography resins. Join us in this exciting journey to expand the affinity ligand program and the creation of a new section.
What you’ll do
Design, perform, document and present protein analysis.
Participate in the characterization of affinity ligand-based resins.
Independently plan and accomplish given tasks from Project Manager or Section Manager, to reach given project objectives
Present scientific and technical results internally and externally, oral and written communication in Swedish and English.

Who you are
MSc or equivalent experience in biology, biochemistry, engineering or related Life Science field.1-2 years’ experience in relevant fields.
The candidate should have experience of protein analysis with focus on LC-MS, HPLC, Biacore and ELISA.
Additional experience of protein chemistry, protein chromatography is also advantageous. Previous experience of working with ÄKTA systems/UNICORN software is desirable.
Result-oriented, flexible and creative with a strong collaborative attitude.
Accurate and structured way of working

Good interpersonal skills/ Goal oriented team player
