At Nouryon, we are looking for Changemakers who want to make a difference. Join us as a Research Engineer within the Renewable Fibers R&D team in Bohus and get the chance to work with great colleagues to achieve even better results.
In this role you will have the opportunity to combine theoretical and practical knowledge and collaborate with colleagues from our global organization. You will develop applications of our specialty chemical products to drive sustainable solutions for pulp, textile, battery and mining industries etc. You will participate in or lead R&D projects and activities to deliver results from laboratory to full scale supporting the company growth.


In the role as Research Engineer, you will
• Support growth for our existing products in new and existing applications.
• Comply and promote safety policies and procedures as a natural part for safe work practices both in the laboratory and in the field.
• Set-up, plan, execute, analyze, interpret and report experiments within and outside own unit.
• Identify new technical solutions and new application opportunities within the areas of fiber technology/chemistry and oxidation/reduction chemistries and share these with other team members and management.
• Participate in assigned projects/activities, lead projects/activities and ensure execution and delivery of technical results.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through support and trouble shooting.
• Contribute to IP applications for own research work and analyze 3rd party IP in own area.


We believe you bring
• Master's Degree in chemistry / chemical technology with professional experience in the area, or Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry /chemical technology with several years of relevant experience.
• Experience from laboratory work .
• Good communication skills in writing reports and presenting results both in English and Swedish.

Great if you have
• Experience from fiber, pulp and paper chemistry/technology.
• Interest in practical solutions for sustainable development.
• Experience from project work/management.

R&D Renewable Fibers, Bohus, Sweden.
