Research Engineer for the Medical Device Sector

On behalf of one of our clients we are now looking for a highly motivated Research Engineer, with previous experience from product development and project work within a line organization, for a temporary assignment in Uppsala. The assignment which is full-time will start in September 15, 2016, and continue until March 15, 2017. Arbetsuppgifter

The role includes participation in product development projects as well as line activities. Plan, perform and report laboratory work on one’s own or as a team. Functional test/verification of products aimed for protein purification/sample preparation and/or separation of biomolecules in the Research & Analysis area. Oral and written presentations of results and conclusions from studies performed.

Utbildning/erfarenhet

For this role we require that you have the following education and experience:
- Master’s degree from a relevant life science discipline e.g. Biochemistry/ Molecular Biotechnology or equal
- More than 1 year work experience from the field, but preferably above 3 years
- Experience from product development and project work within a line organization
- Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of protein purification and small-scale column packing.
- Experience from work in multidisciplinary environments (chemistry & production)
- Experience of working with of ÄKTA design systems and UNICORN
- Experience of system specification, verification and validation
- Experience of analytical lab work and troubleshooting, including DOE
- Proven ability of planning, executing and evaluating analytical experiments
- English and Swedish as working languages, both written and spoken
- Experience of working with MS Office
