At the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering our students are studying to be for example innovators, entrepreneurs, illustrators, communications officers, network technicians and engineers. Here we have the research specialisations of Embedded Systems, and Innovation and Product Realisation. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organisations and public authorities in the region.

Position description
The Health5G project is announcing a research engineer position in the area of eHealth architecture for integrated IoT-5G use cases, where a strong computer science/computer engineering background is required in order to meet the demands. Current developments and architectures using IoT radios and 5G technologies allows developing novel solutions and architecture designs. In current system designs, it is required to integrate communication network protocols and artificial intelligence techniques, as well as make use of independent logical networks such as 5G network slices, in order to provide efficient and reliable systems.
Qualification requirements
The candidate should hold a Master degree in the area of Computer Engineering. This work will be conducted within a European project, called Health5G, with several international partners. The Swedish consortium involves a number of companies actively working in the area of eHealth. The candidate must have a strong background in computer science or computer engineering, programming skills (e.g. C/C++/C#), good oral and written communication skills in English, and the ability to carry out both team-work as well as independent work.

Merit
Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methods (e.g. SVM, ANN, CNN, RNN, and Deep Forward Network), databases (Access/SQL) are considered a merit. In addition, experience with academic and industrial collaboration (e.g. within national/international projects) is appreciated.
