What You'll Do
We are looking for a Research Engineer to join our team in Uppsala. As part of R&D, you will contribute to the development of new products which are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs. You will also take an active part in troubleshooting of existing Cytiva processes. The Uppsala Cytiva site is a workplace for more than 1300 persons including functions as R&D, manufacturing, marketing, quality control and QA. Cross-functional activities in collaboration with other units will represent an important part of work responsibilities.
This position is a temporary position starting in March, ending December 2021. The role has a strong focus on synthesis work in lab scale and hence the person suited for this opening should enjoy working in a chemistry lab.
More specifically will your tasks include:
Perform experimental work within the area of surface/polymer/organic chemistry
Perform primary characterization
Independently plan and accomplish given tasks from Project Manager or Section Manager, to reach given project objectives
Document and report results both orally and written
Who you are
MSc or equal experience in chemistry
Documented laboratory experience
Experience of work with polysaccharides and experience from emulsification work is highly desirable
Delivery focus
Structured and organized team player
Good interpersonal skills
English and Swedish as working languages
