You will, as part of R&D, contribute to the development of new products which are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs. You will also take active part in trouble shooting of existing Cytiva processes. The Uppsala Cytiva site is a workplace for more than 1200 persons including in addition to R&D also functions as manufacturing, marketing, quality control and QA. Cross-functional activities in collaboration with other units will represent an important part of work responsibilities.
This position has a strong focus on synthesis work in lab scale with focus on particle generation. Hence the person suited for this opening should enjoy working in a chemistry lab.
What you´ll do
Perform experimental work within the area of surface/polymer/organic chemistry
Work in science projects as well as product development
Perform primary characterization
Independently plan and accomplish given tasks from Project Manager or Section Manager, to reach given project objectives
Document and report results both orally and written


Who you are
1-2 years experience in relevant field
MSc or equal experience in chemistry, chemical engineering or equal
Documented laboratory experience
Delivery focus
Structured and organized team player
Good interpersonal skills
English and Swedish as working languages



Meritorious:
Experience of work with poly saccharides
Experience from emulsification work
Experience from development of chromatography resins
