Research Engineer to a market leading company

We are now searching for a research and development engineer for our customer.Our customer offer a complete platform portfolio across 2, 5 and 3G to manufacturers of mobile phones and other wireless devices.The technology is based on one of the world's strongest IPR (intellectual property rights) portfolio.The unit were the position is placed is responsible for testing the WCDMA Physical Layer.The unit is responsible for that the physical layer functionality is correct and that the performance is compliant with the 3GPP requirements.Job Description The WCDMA Physical Layer Integration and Verification team is responsible for integration and test of WCDMA Physical Layer Software on hardware.The work is done in very close collaboration with software designers, hardware development and system test. As a research and development engineer at WCDMA Layer1 you will be responsible for testing the WCDMA Layer1 design.You will test the functionality as well as the performance.The work will involve writing test specifications and design test scripts.Furthermore, you will execute the tests, trouble-shoot and also document the test results in test reports when required. The testing will be performed mainly in our lab environment, so experience of lab work and different instruments are of importance.Some testing is also done in close collaboration with our customers and operators.You will work in an international environment, which requires that you feel confident in using English both verbally, as well as in writing.We consider experience of C programming to be a merit. Type of employment This position is located in Lund, Sweden and it is a local contract.The position is initially a three to six months temporary employment where you are employed by Academic Search.After this, if you, the team leaders and the other team members feel good about each other, a regular employment at the company will be offered.
